A change for Focus

No doubt you will have noticed that we have yet to issue any new products this year. This is due to a change of direction by Credit Suisse regarding their distribution strategy, the result of which means that with immediate effect we will no longer be offering new products under the Focus brand. We would confirm however that this change will not affect any existing Focus Plans and those clients or advisers wishing to obtain details of existing Plans can still do so via this website, or by contacting us on 020 7904 1010.

Whilst we will no longer be offering Credit Suisse products under the Focus banner these continue to be available via Meteor, and for those advisers wanting further information please contact your normal Meteor Business Development Manager or see our website www.meteoram.com

Disclaimer

THIS SITE IS DIRECTED AT QUALIFIED INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL ADVISERS - IF YOU ARE NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISER WE STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU TAKE FINANCIAL ADVICE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INVESTMENT.

The Focus Structured Products range of products is a collaboration between Meteor Asset Management Limited as Plan Manager and an internationally renowned Investment Bank (the ”Counterparty”).

Focus Structured Products is a trading name of Meteor Asset Management Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Meteor Asset Management Limited outsources the administration and safekeeping of client assets to Meteor Investment Management Limited. Meteor Investment Management Limited was established for the specific purposes of administering its own plans and those it administers on behalf of third parties.

Our investment products can provide both individual and institutional investors with flexible investment vehicles, which can accommodate varying appetites for risk, asset exposure and capital protection.

It is important that investors understand the risks attached to each of the investments. The key risk areas are summarised below, but please remember that these are general risks and those relevant to a particular product are set out in the product literature.

We do not provide financial advice or guidance on tax issues and we strongly recommend that investors talk to a financial adviser if considering investing.

Any investment should only form part of a total investment portfolio. Investors should also maintain savings they can access immediately to meet any emergency cash needs that may arise during the investment term.

Availability and Residence – due to local regulatory and legal requirements, not all products described on this website are available in all jurisdictions and some may be available on a limited basis only.

The securities mentioned on this website are not being offered, and will not be sold, within the United States or to, or for the account or benefit of, any U.S. person. The term U.S. person shall have the meaning as defined in Regulation S under the United States Securities Act of 1933 and includes, among other things, U.S. residents and U.S. corporations and partnerships.

Cancellation Risk – the risk that if an investor decides to cancel the investment after assets have been purchased, they are likely to lose money if the market(s) or asset(s) to which the contract is linked have fallen since the purchase date.

Counterparty Risk – the risk that the Counterparty does not, or cannot, pay to the Plan Manager the amount due under the product, which could cause investors to lose some or all of their money and any investment returns that would otherwise have been payable.

Early Encashment Risk – the risk that if investors decide to encash the investment before maturity they could get less back than they invested. Administration charges for early encashment will increase any losses.

Inflation Risk – the risk that inflation will reduce the real value of an investment over time.

Investment Risk – The risk that the market(s) or asset(s) to which an investment is linked falls in value, which could cause an investor to lose money.

ISA Transfer Risk – if an investor wishes to transfer an existing ISA this must be done in cash, which means an investor's existing ISA manager will sell the investments and the investor may be charged an exit or transfer fee. There is the potential for loss of income or growth if markets should rise while the transfer remains pending.

Liquidity Risk – the risk that an investor may not be able to access the value of their investment. In normal market conditions pricing will be provided but there is no guarantee that an investor will be able to redeem an investment before maturity.

Pricing Risk – the risk that a financial institution with whom underlying investments have been arranged may not be able to quote regular prices making it difficult to value the investment and delaying any early encashment requests.

Product Risk – the risk that the product design could produce a return that is lower than a direct investment in the market(s) or asset(s) to which the product is linked, or may produce no return at all.

Tax Risk – The values of any tax reliefs will depend on an investor’s individual circumstances. You should note that the levels and bases of taxation could change in the future and these changes may be applied retrospectively.

It is important that an investor reads any product literature carefully and in full so that they understand how the product works and can decide whether or not they are prepared to accept the risks and the possible consequences of investing in a particular contract, before proceeding with an investment.
